1. UIDAI Launches ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ to Redefine India’s Digital Identity Ecosystem
- UIDAI has initiated a comprehensive technological and strategic review to frame ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’, a roadmap to guide Aadhaar’s evolution over the next decade and strengthen India’s digital identity ecosystem.
- The vision aims to upgrade Aadhaar’s technology stack, integrate emerging digital innovations, and ensure that the platform remains secure, inclusive, and future-ready in alignment with India’s digital economy.
- A high-level Expert Committee chaired by Shri Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson of UIDAI, has been constituted to steer the transformation and design the next-generation Aadhaar architecture.
- The upcoming Aadhaar Vision 2032 framework will align with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and emerging global standards, ensuring privacy, interoperability, and technological excellence in digital ID systems.
2. Indian Army Hosts ‘Veer Yuva’ Forum to Empower Youth for National Security and Development
- The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), hosted the Young Leaders Forum (Veer Yuva) in New Delhi as a pre-event to the upcoming Chanakya Defence Dialogue (CDD) 2025.
- The forum, themed “Empowering Youth for India’s National Security and Development,” brought together young leaders from the military, academia, entrepreneurship, NCC, and CAPFs, encouraging dialogue on youth-driven national development.
- Conducted in hybrid mode, the event was live-streamed to Army training institutions, IITs, and universities across India, ensuring widespread participation of youth in discussions on India’s defence transformation and security awareness.
3. IBM and AICTE Collaborate to Establish National AI Lab in New Delhi to Boost Research, Innovation, and Skilling in Artificial Intelligence
- IBM has partnered with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to establish a National AI Lab at the AICTE Headquarters in New Delhi, serving as a national hub for AI research, innovation, and skilling under IBM’s annual CSR initiative linked to the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
- The lab will feature advanced computing infrastructure, AI software platforms, and a digital repository accessible to AICTE institutions across India, offering training programs for students, faculty, and researchers in AI, cloud computing, and sustainability.
- Central to this initiative is IBM SkillsBuild, a global education program offering 1,000+ free courses in AI and tech skills, supporting IBM’s global goal to skill 30 million people by 2030, including 2 million in AI by 2026.

- This city of Uttar Pradesh city has recived recognition for exceptional and diverse culinary traditions.
- Lucknow has been recognised in the Gastronomy category.
- Lucknow has been recognised during UNESCO’s 43rd General Conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
- With this recognition, Lucknow is placed among 70 gastronomy cities worldwide.
- It is the second Indian city to be recognised in the list after Hyderabad.
- 58 cities have beendesignated as new members of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network.
- UNESCO Creative Cities Network now includes 408 cities across more than 100 countries.

6. Three major international maritime events will be hosted by India in February 2026 at Visakhapatnam.
- These events include International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026, Exercise MILAN 2026, and Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs.
- This is the first time India will conduct all three major international maritime events simultaneously.
- The event advances Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s MAHASAGAR vision (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).
- It extends India’s SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) philosophy to promote security, growth, and collective responsibility across regions.
- Navies from across world have been invited to to take part.
- The Presidential Fleet Review at Sea by Hon'ble President of India will be a feature of the event.
- This will showcase indigenous naval platforms. These include INS Vikrant, Visakhapatnam-class destroyers, Nilgiri-class stealth frigates, and Arnala-class anti-submarine corvettes.
- Exercise MILAN will have Sea and Harbour Phases.
- The focus will be on interoperability, maritime domain awareness, anti-submarine warfare, air defence, and search-and-rescue operations
- The International City Parade will feature marching contingents from foreign navies and units from the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.
- The parade along Visakhapatnam’s RK Beach will highlight maritime diplomacy to the public.
- The IONS Conclave of Chiefs will take place with India as Chair for 2025-2027.
- It will bring together naval chiefs from 25 member nations, 9 observers, and invited countries.
- India’s IFR tradition began in 2001. It expanded with the 2016 Visakhapatnam edition.
- Exercise MILAN was launched in 1995. It is a premier multilateral naval exercise.
7. ISRO launches GSAT-7R, India's heaviest communication satellite
- The Indian Space Research Organisation on Sunday successfully launched the Indian Navy's advanced communication satellite GSAT-7R (CMS-03) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
- The indigenously designed and developed satellite, weighing approximately 4,400 kg, is India's heaviest communication satellite to date and marks a major milestone in strengthening the Navy's space-based communications and maritime domain awareness.
- The ISRO launched the rocket aboard its most powerful launch vehicle, the LVM3, on its M5 mission.
- The lift-off took place at about 5.26 p.m. from the second launch pad, and mission control soon con-firmed that the satellite had been successfully inserted into a geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO).
- This is the heaviest Indian-built communications satellite launched from In-dian soil so far.
- Because of the high mass of the GSAT-7R, the launch vehicle targeted a standard GTO; once there, the satellite will raise and circularise its orbit using its on-board propulsion systems.
- The Navy said that equipped with state-of-the-art indigenous compo-nents, the GSAT-7R would provide robust and secure telecommunication coverage across the Indian Ocean Region.
- Its advanced payload features transponders supporting voice, data, and video links over multiple communication bands, ensuring seamless connectivity between the Navy's ships, submarines, aircraft, and Mari-time Operations Centres.
- The launch highlights India's growing self-reliance in space technology and the Navy's commitment to safeguarding national mar-itime interests, it said.

8. GST revenue for October increased 4.6% year-on-year.
- GST collection for October increased to cross ₹1.95 lakh crore, even after rate reductions on 22nd September.
- In October 2024, total GST receipts of ₹1.87 lakh crore had been recorded.
- Central GST revenue during October 2025 increased to ₹36,547 crore.
- State GST collections for for the same month increased to ₹45,134 crore.
- Integrated GST collections stood at ₹1,06,443 crore.
- GST compensation cess collections stood at ₹7,812 crore.

9. The National Marine Fisheries Census 2025 was launched by Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Shri George Kurian.
- It is India’s first fully digitised fisheries census. It was launched at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI).
- Its household enumeration phase has been launched. Over 1.2 million fisher households will be covered in the 45-day nationwide enumeration.
- 4,000 marine fishing villages will bw included in this phase across nine coastal states and four union territories.
- The census will continue from November 3 to December 18.
- Fishermen and fish workers must register on the National Fisheries Digital Platform (NFDP).
- Registration is required to access benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PM-MKSSY).
- The census uses two mobile applications: VyAS Bharat and VyAS Sutra, developed by CMFRI for real-time data capture.
- Department of Fisheries under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is coordinating the Census.
- CMFRI serves as the nodal agency. The Fishery Survey of India is the operational partner.

11. Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna has announced his retirement.
- His professional career as tennis player lasted over two decades.
- Bopanna is a former World No. 1 in doubles. He has won 26 ATP doubles titles.
- Bopanna’s 2024 Australian Open victory with Matthew Ebden made him the oldest player ever to top the doubles rankings at 43.
- He started his career in 2003 and over the years, he earned 539 tour-level victories.

16. Punjab’s Namitbir Singh Walia Becomes Second International Master in Chess After Dushyant Sharma

- A student of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi, Namitbir began playing chess at the age of six and was initially coached by Kanwarjit Singh until 2020 before moving on to advanced training.
